Small Actions Add Up to BIG Results

As I sat down this morning to write my weekly blog (aka Short & Sweet issue) I did a double take.

It said that I had 400 posts total. How in the world did that happen?

Well, I’ll tell you. Many years ago, I started a blog. And I made a commitment to blogging regularly – sometimes it was once a month, sometimes twice a month, sometimes once a week. But I was always blogging to some extent.

And fast-forward 10+ years, I have a library of 400 blog posts on my website! Incredible.

I amazed myself.

But really, there’s nothing amazing about it. It’s simply a fact: when we commit to doing something regularly – even in small amounts – it will add up to something BIG in the future.

Consider this:

  • If you practice a new instrument 15 minutes a day, imagine what you’ll be able to play in ten years.
  • If you commit to moving your body 15 minutes a day, you’ll feel much different in a year’s time.
  • If you commit to blogging once a week, you too will have 400+ blog posts eight years from now!

So let me ask you: what habit or habits do you want to start but feel they’re too overwhelming or intimidating to do so? Just remember, small actions add up to big results. Every time.
