Springtime is a wonderful time to be an entrepreneur. Why, do you ask? Because, as an entrepreneur, you have the freedom and flexibility to take advantage of what’s special about this time of year: the beauty of our natural world. Put one of the five following ideas to work and take advantage of the spring this season.
Get Flowers for Your Workspace 🌸
Whether you have an office, a home office, or a couch (!), fresh-cut flowers are a wonderful way to lighten your surroundings – and your mood. Try a local flower shop or farmer’s market for inspiration.
Work Outside For a Change ☀️
Yes, that’s right, WiFi works outside! When the weather is nice, I love working on my patio at home, at cafes that have an outdoor space, or even in a park when I know I can tether to my phone’s hotspot. It’s amazing how much more pleasant work can be when you have beautiful surroundings.
Spring Clean Your Workspace 🖥️
They don’t call it Spring Cleaning for nothing – spring is a fantastic time to tidy up those spaces that don’t usually get much attention, like your workspace! Go through your papers and materials, recycling, shredding, or discarding what you no longer need. If you’re like me and are more productive in a tidy environment, your business and clients will thank you.
Plan a Springtime Photoshoot 📸
If your marketing visuals are getting a little old (you know who you are), the spring is a wonderful time to hold an outdoor photoshoot. Contact your favorite photographer and get something on the books! Springtime visuals will brighten up your brand and social media presence big time.
Plan a Solo or Team Springtime Retreat 🏡
Whether you’re a solopreneur (like me) or have a team, spring is a nice time to plan a long weekend to plan the rest of the year, the following calendar year, or even beyond. Visualization exercises, journaling, and brainstorming are all fun activities to include on a retreat. The sky is the limit!
