Lately, I’ve noticed during calls with prospective clients that folks often say something akin to, “I talked to a few agencies – but here it’s nice that it’s just you!” This got me thinking, which got me thinking some more, which finally got me to writing today’s Short & Sweet blog post.
What are the benefits of working with an individual on your website instead of working with a team?
Below are the top three perks that come to mind 🤓
Less is lost in translation 💬
When you’re working with only one person, and that person is the one talking to you at meetings, the one doing the designing, and the one doing the building, communication is direct and clear. Things rarely get missed or misunderstood in this simplified 1-to-1 setting.
Projects move faster and get done quicker 🚀
When I tell people that my typical turnaround time for a new website is 1-2 months at the most, they often raise their eyebrows in surprise. Being solo allows me to work with a select number of clients at any given time, so I can stay focused on those few projects and move things along quickly.
It’s less expensive 💰
One of the reasons I love being a 1-woman show in the web design world is that I’m able to offer small and solo business owners a website that, while totally professional, is also within their budget. With no employees and no central office to maintain, my overhead is fairly low. This means I can charge just enough to pay myself, which makes my clients happy.
Do you need a more professional website? 👩🏻💻
If you’ve been DIYing your website or it’s simply getting up there in years, I’d love to chat about what’s not working and put together a plan for creating a website that not only will make you smile every time you look at it, but will also better connect with your audience and make the decision to reach out a breeze.
